Both of the issues (Cypress banks and North Korea) discussed in Global Perspectives for April 2013 have dissipated and while they might re-surface, it probably would not be for a few months.
The graphs indicate that the month of May have a steady long term trend for core in the Yield area and while not increasing in value is more importantly, not decreasing in value into the Risk area. Note the lack of Core risk factors and decreasing values of transient risk factors at this time period .. indicating that perception and reality of the economic situation is getting better.
